HGV flow web mapping

Client:

Partner:

Sector:

GIS and process automation

The context:

Our client Eiffage is in charge of the construction of the future public transportation stations of the line 16 of the Grand Paris Express in the Paris Area – France. Eiffage need to communicate to their final client, the Société du Grand Paris (SGP), the number of heavy good vehicles (HGV) generated by the project and using the public road network. These vehicles need to be classified by the type of materials they carry. Actual flows and forecast until the end of the construction (2023) need to be updated and communicated every quarter.

What we did:

We developed an automated process to ingest the reports and forecast provided by Eiffage, convert the flow data into total traffic on each section of the road network. The process generates HTML maps giving the volumes forecast for every month until 2023.

The value for our client:

Our client is now able to communicate large datasets of geolocated data through a user-friendly web page. Both Eiffage and the SGP can use a single source to monitor the volume of HGV in the whole network of the Paris area.
